I often remember lunch time at summer camp and the cocoa I would sip every afternoon. I remember it, yet I remember nothing: neither the scent, nor the taste, nor the stories from that camp.

I know somewhere inside you there is a taste of cotton candy at Tbilisi Zoo from when you were little. Maybe you have never actually tasted it, and maybe you have never even been to Tbilisi Zoo, but you still know exactly what I mean when I say it. And you too remember the bright colors and the taste of this sugar fur ball, crusted around your mouth, and the sticky sweetness on our small hands, so small, innocent and caring. I had different eyes then. A different brain —  innocent enough to mistake cages for homes. Back then I could not see the loneliness of those drugged, hollowed animals. So to me,  the zoo was bright and colorful and alive, and in my head the animals were happy there, in their own paradise, together with the ones they loved.  When crocheting this tie, I wanted to relive those colors — the brightness that only a child’s eyes can truly see. I think it’s there, woven into those threads, and you’ll feel it once you wear it. At least I hope you will. Wear it if you are brave enough to carry the colors this bright. But only if you think you can survive the crushing weight of something this soft and something this light.

I crocheted this bag when I felt dead, uninspired, drained, and not-so-lovely. It took me months to finish because I couldn’t make it look the way I imagined: the tones are a bit washed out, the shape is slightly off, and the illustration is far from what I intended. You might notice a slight color shift on the back — yeap, that wasn't a design choice; I was just too exhausted to get out of bed and buy a second roll of yarn. So I worked with what I had, from my bed, completely spent. At some point, I stopped trying to fix it. Because there was no way to turn it into something perfect 🫠 I can’t force a seamless work of art out of a season of burnout, and maybe that’s the point. Sometimes I feel dead, washed out, and very imperfect. And the only way through is to let myself be exactly that. So, I’m leaving this bag as it is. I just hope it finds a home where this little fairy skeleton (maybe alien, maybe something else) can feel dead, but also very much lovely.

This bookmark is how my ADHD brain feels like when I’m trying to read something.  I opened a novel once.One paragraph mentioned a boat,Three hours later I was,  researching, medieval shipbuilding techniques.That novel still remains unread.

I crocheted this in the fall of 2025, when the final season of Stranger Things was being teased and the entire internet (including me) collectively lost its mind. Back then, I was either stupid or optimistic enough to believe I could build an entire brand before the finale aired and ride the hype train straight into glory 😀 As you can probably tell from the fact that you're reading this in a fully established post-apocalyptic future where the finale has already come and gone, that did not happen. (Turns out building a brand takes slightly longer than a month. Who knew…) But, hey, true fans know that real love isn't measured by whether something is currently trending on TikTok.  The hype eventually disappears, but a cute, flower-faced interdimensional predator crocheted with questionable skills and pure excitement? That is forever.
