Is every product handmade?

Yes.

Every Granny Todu item is handmade by an actual human being with actual hands and occasionally questionable life choices.

Small variations in stitching, shape, texture, or color are completely normal and part of what makes handmade items special.

Do you accept custom orders?

Mostly no.

GRANNY respects your vision, but GRANNY also respects her remaining sanity.

However, custom orders are currently available for selected accessories, including:

Please keep in mind that custom orders usually take around 6–7 days to prepare before delivery within Tbilisi.

For deliveries outside Tbilisi, timing depends on the courier service and location.

For all other products, we do not accept custom orders.

However, if there's something you desperately wish existed, you can submit a request through the Make a Wish page.

What is the Make a Wish page?

A highly sophisticated product suggestion system.

(Technically.)

If there's a sold-out item you love, or something you'd like Todu to create in the future, you can submit your wish.

Submitting a wish does not guarantee the item will be made.

But GRANNY does listen.

How long does shipping take?

Within Tbilisi, crocheted products are usually delivered within 2–5 days, while stationery items usually require 4–7 days for preparation and delivery.

In many cases, delivery may take place sooner.

Deliveries may also occur during weekends.

Outside Tbilisi, delivery times depend on where you're located. We'll contact you after your order and agree on the details in advance.

Sometimes your order may arrive even faster because, if anyone understands the unbearable excitement of receiving a package immediately after ordering it, it's Todu the Toad — an obsessive shopaholic herself.

Do you ship internationally?

In some cases, yes.

If you're outside Georgia and interested in adopting a crochet creature, contact us and we'll see what is possible.

Are the colors exactly the same as in the photos?

My amphibian tries her best, but screens are mysterious little liars.

Colors may appear slightly different depending on your device settings.

What happens if my item arrives damaged?

Nobody deserves a damaged emotional support object.

If your item arrives damaged or you receive the wrong product, please contact GRANNY TODU within 2 days of receiving your order via email or our official social media channels.

We may ask for photos of the issue so we can review the situation and help find the most appropriate solution.

Why is there only one available?

Because my amphibian suffers from a severe case of "ooh, what if I made THIS instead?"

Whenever Granny finishes a product, she is usually so fed up with looking at it that making the exact same thing all over again feels impossible.

Her ADHD brain curse means that once something is finished, it immediately becomes less interesting than the seventeen new ideas currently fighting for attention.

So instead of making the same bag ten times, she usually runs off to learn a new stitch, try a new design, start a completely different project, or become temporarily obsessed with something she saw on Pinterest at 2 AM.

Will sold-out items come back?

Maybe.

Some products return, some never do. Just like your will to live.

If you find something you love and it's sold out, you can submit your emotional appeal through the Make a Wish page.

I promise you no promises.

Why do some products have weird stories?

Because, as Margaret Atwood once said, "In the end, we'll all become stories." :)) 

Stories are part of the creation process and part of everything I have ever made or ever will make.

Some products come with a story because the story came first. Others come with a story because the object accidentally collected one along the way.

When you buy a product with a story attached, you're taking home something surprisingly vulnerable.

Can I wash my crochet item?

Please check the care instructions on the product page.

In general, handmade crochet items prefer gentle treatment. Much like Todu.

I like the product, but I need more information or extra pictures. What should I do?

No problem. On every product page, you'll find the "Ask Granny" section.

You can use it to request  additional photos, close-up details, or literally any other question you have about the product. 

Buying handmade things online can be scary. Granny gets it.

So if you'd like to inspect your future emotional support object before committing to a long-term relationship, just ask.

Granny is chronically online and will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I return my order?

Generally, no.

Due to the handmade and limited nature of the products, returns are accepted only if: you received the wrong item and your item arrived damaged - in that case, to return the product, contact us within 2 days of receiving your order.

Who is GRANNY TODU?

GRANNY TODU, aka Todu The Toad,  is a pretty cool amphibian having an existential crisis. She is also the alter ego of the creator of the brand, Mariam Todua.

Why is everything half English and half Georgian?

I’m actually super ashamed of it, because there is no language I love more than Georgian.

The website is a .com website and was originally built in English. When I launched it, I simply didn't have enough time, energy, or remaining brain cells to rewrite every single page, product, story, and button in Georgian.

And honestly, I don't even think "translate" is the right word.

Translation works for information, it doesn't always work for stories.

Many of the things on this website has to be written again from scratch because what sounds natural in English often sounds strange in Georgian, and vice versa.

So now the website exists in a slightly chaotic state somewhere between English and Georgian.

Much like its creator. :))

But I promise it's a work in progress.

Little by little, everything will eventually be written in Georgian too.

Until then, please consider the bilingual confusion part of the authentic GRANNY TODU experience.

Can I complain about the prices? 

Of course, you can!

But I wouldn't recommend it :))) 

Behind everything stands literally one person. Me.

Designing, crocheting, sewing, photography, website building, online shop administration, social media management, copywriting, packaging, deliveries, legal paperwork, taxes, bureaucracy, and the occasional existential crisis.

Handmade products are expensive because human time is expensive.

And unlike large factories, I unfortunately cannot force an underpaid army of amphibians to work around the clock.

If you're looking for the cheapest option available, you probably are not in the right place.

If you're looking for something made slowly, thoughtfully, and by a person who cares way too much about every detail, then welcome.

Will this product fix my life?

No. But it might make it cuter ;))
